Sitting at the pool or beach with a good book is, in our opinion, one of the best ways to spend a day! Finding a great pool read can sometimes be tricky.
To help narrow down the choices, here are a few of our favorites.
My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult
If you are looking to think through how you really feel about issues, Jodi Picoult is a great author to read. My Sister's Keeper will keep you examining your thoughts on what makes a good, mother, sister and person. This book is hard to put down, you easily get lost in the story and the struggles.
The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
Set during WWII, this book will allow you to escape into a book about the power of books and how they effect our lives even in the most dangerous times.
Eat Pray Love - Elizabeth Gilbert
Finding out who we are and who we are meant to be. This book will empower you to search inside yourself and your nature.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
The first book in the Millennium Series will keep you on the edge of your seat. A love story, murder mystery and family dynamics, pull you in and keep you wanting more throughout. If you love this one too, definitely read the rest in the series, they are all great!
The Nightingale - Kristin Hannah
The female side of WWII is hardly told. Kristin Hannah does a marvelous job of telling the story of two courageous sisters during the war. The book is hard to put down and riveting throughout.
Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
Time travel, art, love and passion. The Time Traveler's Wife will transport you across time and through a love affair that will leave you wanting to read more.
The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini
Set in Afghanistan during a destructive part of history, the heartbreaking story of a boy, an unlikely friendship, and the struggles they face will make it hard to put this book down.
